Fall Out Boy’s Drummer Opens Vegan Café in Portland

Vegan musician Andrew Hurley—the drummer for band Fall Out Boy—recently opened vegan café Oracle Coffee Company in Portland’s South Waterfront neighborhood. The shop serves coffee made with beans sourced from coffee roasters from around the country. The shop uses only plant-based milks from Califia Farms, Oatly, and Pacific Foods for its coffee beverages and offers pastries sourced from local Dutch-style shop Shoofly Vegan Bakery, with a limited selection of doughnuts (in flavors such as Cinnamon Twist and French Toast) from Portland’s first vegan doughnut shop Doe Donuts. Hurley has long advocated for animal-rights and released an album this August from his new hardcore band Sect—the members of which are all vegan.
