Green Day and Kat Von D Collaborate on Vegan Eyeliner

Billie Joe Armstrong has teamed with vegan beauty mogul Kat Von D on her upcoming, animal-friendly makeup product.

Vegan tattoo artist/beauty mogul Kat Von D announced this week her collaboration with Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong on an upcoming vegan eyeliner. Von D posted a photograph on Instagram of her handcuffed to Armstrong—whose signature look centers around wearing thick, black eyeliner. “A little behind-the-scenes from yesterday’s shoot with @billiejoearmstrong,” Von D posted with the photo. “Super excited about our upcoming eyeliner collab for @katvondbeauty.” Armstrong posted his own photo of the pair on Instagram and wrote, “Me, Kat, eyeliner, handcuffs = justice!!” Last year, Von D committed to reformulating the Kat Von D Beauty line to be completely vegan and has since debuted several new vegan products—including her popular Shade + Light contour palette. Von D is also currently working on a vegan shoe line and frequently works with animal-rights organization Mercy For Animals to end animal exploitation.
