Vegan restaurant Café Gratitude recently launched the “I Am Renewed” plant-based cleanse program in Southern California. The cleanse consists of several options: either a meal or juice plan for the duration of one to five days. The meal cleanse ($65 per day) includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and beverages that consist of sprouted, gluten-free, and organic raw and cooked foods. Dishes include a crunchy superfood parfait with quinoa cashew granola, coconut yogurt, fresh fruit, and Incan berries; a Japanese grain bowl with kale, cucumber, sea palm, tempeh, sesame wasabi sauce, gomasio, and rice; and Pad Thai kelp noodles with kale, Thai almond sauce, carrots, red bell pepper, and toasted almonds. The juice cleanse ($55 per day) includes anti-inflammatory juice made with pear, ginger, and pineapple; a green energy juice made with pear, cucumber, lime, spinach, celery, and ginger; and a shot that boosts nail, hair, and skin health made with coconut kefir, bioavailable B-12, and bee pollen (customers can choose to decline the inclusion of honey and bee pollen, the only non-vegan ingredients included in the program). The cleanse is available at a 50-percent discount until January 31, and the meal and juice cleanses can be picked up at Café Gratitude locations throughout Southern California.
