Drake Ditches Meat
The musician confirms that he has no beef with vegetarians.
Canadian musician Aubrey Drake Graham (known professionally as “Drake”) confirmed last week on gaming platform Twitch that he is a vegetarian. During a discussion with gamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, Drake revealed that he eats pizza while gaming. “Chicken and pineapple on a pizza could work,” Drake said during the live stream of their conversation, “but I don’t eat meat anymore.” Rumors about Drake being either vegan or vegetarian surfaced earlier this month when the musician posted a photo to Instagram of him engaging in an argument with a friend that he captioned, “If two vegans are angry at each other … is it beef?” A number of media outlets opined that the musician was inspired to adopt a plant-based diet after fellow performer Beyoncé announced that she would go vegan for 44 days in preparation for her performance at music festival Coachella.
