25th Annual Meatout Day

Today, vegans around the world celebrate the 25th Annual Meatout Day, a grassroots initiative to spread education about cruelty-free living and offer support for those ready to make a lifestyle change. To honor its 25th anniversary, Meatout organizers launched a Meatout TV advertisement and promoted the worldwide event through its website. Earlier this month, Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm announced that in honor of Meatout Day her state would be officially observing March 20 as Agriculture Day, and encouraged residents to try cooking plant-based meals using fresh ingredients, including vegetables, fruit, and whole grains.
