In June 2010, chef Craig “Meathead” Goldwyn wrote an article in the Huffington Post to better understand the vegetarianism debate. Goldwyn’s findings led him to the decision to go meatless for 30 days. The key points that swayed his decision were the inhumane conditions at factory farms and the fact that meat-production methods might be harmful to humans. He hopes to see how the vegetarian diet makes him feel and challenge his meatless cooking skills. “I may discover I need less meat than I thought,” he writes. Goldwyn will blog about the diet and post recipes on his normally meat-centric website.
