25th Genesis Awards

HSUS gives out annual awards honoring media and celebrities for their outstanding work in bringing animal issues.

The Humane Society of the United States presents its 25th annual Genesis Awards in Los Angeles on March 19, celebrating the work of major news and entertainment media for producing work raising the public’s awareness of animal issues. Sex and the City actress Kristin Davis will be honored with the prestigious Wyler Award for her tireless efforts to bring attention to African elephants orphaned after poaching for their ivory tusks. Actresses Betty White and Emily Deschanel, photographer Nigel Barker, singer Leona Lewis, and others will be in attendance. Viewers can tune in to the awards ceremony on April 30 at 7pm on Animal Planet.
