The Humane Society of the United States and Donna Salyers’ Fabulous-Furs are hosting a competition at Parsons The New School for Design, where students create faux fur outfits and accessories using techniques they learned from company president Donna Salyers. “Having a chance to share with the next generation of designers the techniques we’ve developed at Fabulous-Furs was a special treat,” said Salyers on the HSUS website. “Their excitement, energy, and enthusiasm for luxurious options to animal fur truly makes animal fur pointless and unnecessary.” Winners will receive cash prizes, be featured at Parson exhibitions, and receive materials from Fabulous-Furs.
