The Humane Society of the United States will host the To the Rescue! Florida gala in January to celebrate its anti-puppy mill campaign, which has rescued thousands of dogs from illegal breeding operations throughout the United States. The event will take place at Club Collette in Palm Beach, FL, and attendees, who hail from entertainment, political, and social spheres will dine on cuisine created by Nanci Alexander and Chefe Jose Oliver of Fort Lauderdale’s innovative vegan eatery, Sublime. James Berwind of the HSUS National Council will host the event, and Paige Rense Noland, who established the HSUS Puppy Mill Tip Line Reward Fund will receive an award.
