Veganism is becoming commonplace in celebrity culture, and now Hollywood’s tiniest residents are discarding meat and dairy as well as they take on a two-week vegan challenge. According to ABC News, celebrity health guru and yoga instructor Rainbeau Mars started the mini-movement after her fellow parents told her that kids would not eat the vegetable soup she was making for her child Jade’s school. Mars’ penchant for wellness turned out to be quite infectious, and now more than 300 of Hollywood’s youngest up-and-comers are taking the vegan challenge, experiencing the benefits of healthful, meat-free eating. “I decided to do the cleanse because I thought it would be a really cool experience to try being vegan,” said kid-rapper and America’s Got Talentcontestant Lela Brown. Some of the new foods that the kids are introducing to their diets include kale salad, chia pudding, and smoothies.
