New NBC Dating Show Seeks Single Vegans

Produced by Ellen DeGeneres, a new dating program matches up singles and documents their first date.

Based on the UK hit show, First Dates, NBC will launch a dating show of the same name with Ellen DeGeneres as its Executive Producer. According to the program's casting producer, the show is specifically seeking single vegans and those "genuinely looking for love." Unlike other reality shows, First Dates will take a documentary approach to dating by matching up singles based on interests and following them on their first date. The hour-long series is slated for eight episodes and will begin filming in Chicago this July.
