On Saturday, New Yorkers will have an opportunity to sip wine, beer, and spirits made without animal products at the second annual Better Booze Festival. Hosted by the U.S. Veg Corp, attendees can rest assured that no fish bladders, gelatin, or egg whites have been used in the making of their adult beverages. Breweries such as Bear Republic and Boston Beer will be pouring tastings, along with spirit companies like Fair Quinoa Vodka and Downeast Cider Hard Lemonade. There will be live entertainment (think roving magicians and fire dancers), and the festival will feature vegan food like crepes from La Crepe C’est Si Bon, Indian fare from Samosa Shack, and truffles from Rescue Chocolate. There will also be games and guest speakers throughout the day.
