Actress-turned-activist Pamela Anderson has launched a series of 10 video vignettes on her site The Sensual Vegan that make basic vegan cooking accessible and fun for amateur cooks. Directed by her brother Gerry Anderson, the videos take place inside the starlet’s home kitchen and feature professional chef Delahna Flagg handling the cooking while Anderson plays sous chef. The show keeps a relaxed tone but is filled with interesting tips and recipes such as red and white bean salad and fragrant lentil stew with heirloom tomatoes. Anderson, who says she could “live off toast, peanut butter, and sweet potatoes,” created the program to expand her own repertoire, stating, “You really learn how to cook from your parents and then all of a sudden you want to be vegan and you’re like, ‘Now how am I going to cook that?’” Outside of the kitchen, Anderson has been busy working with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, creating vegan apparel, and writing two vegan books.
