Blossom Du Jour—the ninth restaurant of New York City’s largest vegan restaurant group—opened last week near Union Square. The 18-seat, fast-casual restaurant features items such as Mac and Cheese, a Quinoa Sweet Potato Burger, a Seitan Philly Cheesesteak, and the Midtown Melt, along with cold-pressed juices and desserts. While menu items mirror those of its sister restaurants, this iteration comes with a twist: specific menu items are tied to charities—including Woodstock Animal Sanctuary, Kindness Ranch, and Donkey Rescue—and diners will be able to see exactly where their money is donated. Owner Pamela Elizabeth implemented this change so “every time someone buys one of our 100-percent vegan products, they will become active participants in this fight to save animals.” The restaurant group will also open Blossom Du Jour Express—a grab-and-go location at new fast-dining concept Turnstyle—in Columbus Circle by the end of the year.
