Vegan musician (and our Veggie Awards 2015 Person of the Year) Moby opened his plant-based restaurant Little Pine in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles today. The 28-year-vegan is collaborating with chef Kristyne Starling to bring his restaurant to life. Little Pine is completely organic and vegan, and will feature the bistro plus a small retail space in the front of the restaurant. “It’s just art books from friends of mine who are artists, some candles that smell nice, teas, soaps,” Moby told Los Angeles Times. “Just basically if I would have it in my house or give it as a gift, then I’m happy to sell it.” The menu features Italian and Mediterranean fare plus beer, wine, low-alcohol cocktails, and other beverages. The décor of Little Pine resembles that of an Alpine Lodge, complete with pine accents and wallpaper created from a photo of snow-covered trees, shot my Moby himself. Little Pine is now open 7:30am to midnight seven days a week.
