After just two months, Follow Your Heart is reporting massive success after launching its revolutionary VeganEgg product. When the plant-based egg alternative was announced, the overwhelming amount of traffic crashed the company’s website. “We’ve gone on to sell out pallets of VeganEgg on Amazon within hours, wipe stores clean of their cases in days, and in Follow Your Heart Market & Café we sold over 200 units in one weekend,” Follow Your Heart Marketing Coordinator Laura Sklov said. The VeganEgg mimics the flavor, texture, and nutrients of the animal-based version. Follow Your Heart reports that there are numerous national retailers who plan to carry the product in 2016, including Hannaford and Wegmans. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals also named Follow Your Heart its Company of the Year and cited the VeganEgg as the primary reason for the award.
