Vegan Big Macs Coming to Canada

Beloved Hollywood vegan restaurant is opening next month in Toronto.

Canada’s biggest city is about to get a taste of a cruelty-free Big Mac thanks to a new location of popular Los Angeles vegan restaurant Doomie’s Home Cookin’. According to Ecorazzi, the plant-based comfort-food eatery is opening in Toronto after a successful showing at Toronto’s Vegan Food and Drink Festival that had eventgoers clamoring for the double-decker meal. Aside from the notorious McDonald's-inspired burger, the original Hollywood menu at Doomie’s boasts an array of fun, junk-food fare, including Peanut Butter & Bacon Cheeseburgers, Mac ‘n Chs Patty Melts, Asada Chimichangas, Avocado Fries, and Deep Fried Oreos. The Canadian location will open in Toronto’s water-front Parkdale district in early April.
