Whole Foods Market announced the opening date of its first new concept store, 365 by Whole Foods Market, in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Silver Lake. On May 25, area shoppers will get their first look at the new store—modeled after a conventional Whole Foods, but with a focus on affordability—aiming to serve a growing millennial clientele in search of wholesome, high-quality foods at an accessible price. “It’s time for a whole new grocery shopping experience, one that strives to be good for your body, your budget, your lifestyle, and the planet,” the company website said. Another element that will set 365 apart from competitors: a fully separate dine-in by CHLOE restaurant, the New York-based fast-casual comfort food vegan eatery gaining critical acclaim and expanding rapidly (the LA location is among five new by CHLOE ventures slated to open this year). The Silver Lake location of 365 is the first of three opening in summer 2016; the second coming to Lake Oswego, OR followed by a location in Bellevue, WA.
