Scandinavian furniture and houseware chain IKEA has announced that it’s launching a food truck to travel across the United States selling its famous Swedish meatballs, which also includes a vegan version. Part of the company’s #TogetherWeEat campaign, the truck will head to festivals around the country giving out free “meatball stacks” in honor of “enjoying your time with the people you love … where better to do that than at a local festival?” The Veggie California Stack features the company’s vegan meatball served with a slice of pickled ginger and avocado, with a dollop of wasabi vegan mayonnaise “to add some heat.” The truck’s first stops will be Chicago’s Wicker Park Fest July 23–24 and the Bric Celebrate Brooklyn Festival in Brooklyn on July 30.
