Vegan Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe Shared by Bustle

As fall approaches, popular women’s site creates beloved veganized beverage.

Popular millennial lifestyle site Bustle recently featured a DIY-guide to creating an at-home vegan pumpkin spice latte with its global audience of more than 50 million users. Author Kirsten Nunez's steps include brewing strong coffee, pouring into a small pot over medium heat, adding pumpkin purée, non-dairy milk, vegan sweetener, and pumpkin pie spice. Stir well, serve in a mug, top with vegan whipped cream and cinnamon, and you can “give yourself a pat on the back for channeling your inner Martha Stewart.” And though international coffee chain Starbucks is expanding vegan options by introducing almond milk to stores this month, the sauce the company uses for its revered Pumpkin Spice Latte is laden with dairy—so this easy recipe is a surefire way to enjoy the seasonal beverage without the cruelty.
