Homemade hemp milk is a mild, nutty-flavored, and delicious beverage loaded with high-quality digestible protein.

Makes 3 cups

What you need:

3 cups filtered water
1 cup hulled hemp seeds
1 tablespoon maple syrup or 1 pitted Medjool date
½ teaspoon vanilla

What you do:

1. Using a blender, blend the water, hemp seeds, maple syrup, and vanilla until smooth and frothy. For a silky milk consistency, strain the mixture through a nut-milk bag or a few layers of cheesecloth that is held over a bowl or milk container. Squeeze gently to get all the liquid out.
2. Store milk in a Mason jar in a refrigerator for up to 5 days. The milk might separate while sitting, so be sure to give the jar a shake before using.
