The movement at long last
has its own monthly newspaper: VegNews.
When they asked me to be on their Board of Advisors,
I agreed with some reluctance, since I was afraid the
paper would be an underfunded mediocrity. My fears could
not have been more unfounded. It's a terrific paper,
and each month is full of the best veggie news going.
A vibrant veggie movement needs a vibrant newspaper,
run by smart and idealistic people who really care.
You'll love this newspaper.

I just wanted to drop you a quick note applauding your
great work with VegNews.
I got the latest edition last week and read every single
article. The ads are wonderful, too. Nothing like reading
a newspaper GEARED for vegetarians and vegans. You're
doing a magnificent job. Kudos!!

Wow! VegNews is the best!
It has become my number one source for information on
all things related to vegetarianism. The articles are
timely and informative, the calendar keeps me tuned
into all of the upcoming veg and AR events, letters
to the editor let me know what others are thinking,
and even the ads clue me in to some great vegan products!
When I receive my copy of VegNews
in the mail, I feel truly connected to all of my vegan
friends around the world. Thank you for filling a gaping
void in journalism, and keep up the great work!

VegNews is soooo great!
I haven’t found an issue yet that I haven’t
thoroughly enjoyed. I read every word from front to
back and look forward to the next issue.

Keep up the great work; I read every issue from cover-to-cover,
and they are disseminated to my students in all of my
classes. I have even taken some of the leftover older
issues and dropped them off at neighboring natural food
stores.

I was just sitting here thinking about the progress
I've made with my humane education endeavors and realized
(for the 100th time at least!) that it would not have
been possible without having had the opportunity to
write for VegNews. Authoring
"Dani's Diary"
has given me a newfound confidence in my skills and
goals and has represented the perfect professional networking
resource for teachers, activists and other humane educators.
THANK YOU for playing a large role in this process.

My husband and I recently attended the World Vegetarian
Coference in Toronto, and I was delighted to receive
a copy of VegNews in my
packet of hand-outs. It is wonderful—I can’t
tell you how much we enjoyed it and how pleased we were
to see such an intelligent, informative publication.

Just received the latest VegNews.
You have really outdone yourselves this time! I especially
enjoyed the Jim Mason interview and the piece on Food
for Life’s efforts to help the earthquake survivors
in India, including the large vegetarian Jain population
of the Gujarat state. The fact that such an organization
even exists is very encouraging and inspiring! Thanks
to VegNews for calling attention
to a relief campaign largely ignored in the mainstream
press coverage of the tragedy.

It’s great to have vegetarian support, to spread
the word for a much more loving future. Thank you!

I wanted to congratulate you on a truly great newspaper.
Your last issue was well done. It highlighted the essence
of vegetarianism. As a nutritionist, I receive many
different health publications. Often times, I may not
have time to read them all. VegNews
is one that I read cover-to-cover as soon as it arrives.
Thanks for providing such an informative newspaper.
Looking forward to your next issue!

Thanks for publishing such a great newspaper. We just
added two more years to our subscription. All of the
articles are superb, and we find the city vegetarian
restaurant lists to be exceptionally helpful. For example,
the April VegNews came just
as my partner and I were embarking on a trip to Paris.
We frequented all the vegetarian restaurants listed
and had no problem at all finding good vegan food in
Paris. Keep up the good work!
--Stan King

I enjoy your magazine. I was reading this month's issue

thank you again for publishing such a wonderful magazine.

The wedding issue was fantastic! I look forward to it
all year, and you didn't disappoint me. I love reading
the menus, the stories of how the couples met, and seeing
the unique and various ways vegan couples choose to
celebrate their weddings. I think it's also very encouraging
to other couples out there planning their vegan weddings.
I wish I'd had this issue to draw from when my husband
and I got married! Keep up the great work!
